Since 2020, there has been a huge increase in the number of parents who are making the choice to electively home educate (EHE) in Hampshire. Although some of this is due to concerns around the safety of schools in our current COVID climate, this also reflects a steady increase in EHE over the last 10 years across the country. A significant number of these parents are not the traditional ‘Home Education’ crowd – the group who lean away from traditional curriculums or who want to do things differently – which means a lot of these families need additional support. Support which will not only generate positive outcomes for children and families, but also prevent children removed from formal education from ‘falling through the cracks’ and not being successful academically.
On this page I would like to gauge interest in bespoke curriculum design for primary elective home educators in the UK. This would be available in packages, designed with your child in mind. The curriculum itself would be based on the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, which has been designed to promote progress, but would be tailored to fit your family’s needs. This would include projects/themes, lesson plans, trip ideas, and much more. Packages would vary: long term plans only; long and medium term plans only (also known as curriculum only); or a complete bespoke package including practical resources and long and medium term plans. As you would expect, each package would have a different price point, making formal home education available to all.
Below is a Survey Monkey link to a questionnaire designed to gauge interest in this concept.
